INTRODUCTION:

Located in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, Hampton Court House School is an independent coeducational school housed in a building from the 18th century, just outside Bushy Park. The Grade II listed building was built in 1757 by George Montagu-Dunk, 2nd Earl of Halifax, and offers a comprehensive curriculum covering a wide range of subjects, including art, ballet, computer science, drama, English, humanities, Latin, learning support, Mandarin, mathematics, music, psychology, science, MFL, and sports. The school's extracurricular program, which offers a variety of activities to suit students' changing interests, from the Da Vinci Club and Chamber Choir to the Design Technology and Coding Club, further, demonstrates its dedication to a wide education.

Hampton Court House School cultivates a friendly environment that welcomes students and teachers from a variety of ethnic origins by emphasizing the qualities of curiosity, truthfulness, compassion, and a love of learning. Fundamental British ideals, such as freedom of speech, democracy, and tolerance, are heavily emphasized in the school's ethos, culture, and instruction. By placing a high priority on these principles, the school hopes to develop self-reliant, thoughtful young adults who are equipped to succeed in their future undertakings.

ADMISSION GUIDELINES:

You can meet instructors, senior staff, and current students at Open Days. They consist of the Head's address, student-led campus tours, and observation of classes in session. After these activities, families usually head back to the Main Hall to talk about any last questions they may have with the leadership group and the professors.

Oversubscription Criteria:

There are no oversubscription criteria for the school.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

By November of Year 6, if you would like your kid to be registered for a spot at the school, you need to fill out the registration form and send it back with a £150 non-refundable charge. Then, your child will receive an invitation to take the entrance examinations in January.

The school will request reports and any further supporting evidence at this point (such as educational psychologist reports when applicable). It will also be necessary to obtain a private reference from your child's present school.

Top-performing candidates will receive an invitation to the Head's February interview. Your child might be offered a spot in March, subject to their performance during the admissions process, and they would have to accept it by the April deadline.

CATCHMENT AREA:

There is no defined catchment region because students are accepted from a broad range of postcodes and, in the instance of boarding schools, from countries outside of the United Kingdom.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND BURSARIES:

Academic and music scholarships are available to 11+ students; these scholarships are worth 10% of the annual tuition. Throughout their research, students are required to lead by example in the school's creative, musical, and scholarly endeavors. There are no bursaries available.
